What is an IPO and how it works?
IPO stands for Initial Public Offering.
It’s the process by which a private company goes public by selling its shares to the general public for the very first time.
Companies IPO for various reasons.
One major reason is to raise capital for growth, research, and development.
The IPO process involves several steps, including filing paperwork with regulators, setting a price for the shares, and then making those shares available to the public through stock exchanges like NYSE or NASDAQ.
