US stocks rose on Monday
Yesterday has been a positive day for Wall Street.
All three major indexes have closed in profit.
The S&P 500 closed at +1.19%, the Nasdaq ended the trading session at +2.01% and the Dow Jones closed at +0.76%.
The positive movement has been driven by bullish investor sentiment, as shown in the graph below.

The market sentiment is at 65 in the “Greed” mode.
Investors are confident
There is hope that inflation could reach the target of 2% as soon as this year.
Traders and investors are quite confident that the Federal Reserve will slow down the pace of the interest rate hikes next month.
Below is shown the expected interest rate rise for the next FOMC meeting.
FedWatch Tool – FED rates probabilities
98.6% of investors are expecting the FED to increase the interest rates by 0.25% at the next meeting.
The remaining 1.4% are expecting a 0.50% rate increase.
The next FED meeting is on 1 February 2023.
What to watch this week
This week are going to be released the quarterly earnings reports of many US companies.
The market will be impacted, so there will be volatility.
Portfolio Update
I am monitoring the short positions on stocks and ETFs and will act accordingly.
This will allow my portfolio to make a profit if the market drops.
The fundamentals remain bearish, so I am neutral and cautious at the moment, based on the current FED monetary policy.
However, I aim to profit regardless of the market direction.
