Hello copiers, followers and etorians!
This is the monthly update on my investment portfolio:

In August, my portfolio closed the month with a negative performance.
Last month, was a very volatile month for U.S. financial markets, characterized by significant fluctuations.
On the 5th of August, we experienced a market crash driven by an unexpected interest rate hike by Japan’s central bank and a weak U.S. jobs report.
The VIX, Wall Street’s fear gauge, was above 65. The main concern was that the Fed was ignoring signs of an impending recession.
But, despite the initial crash, the markets recovered, thanks to the Fed chairman, Jerome Pawell, who announced, during the Jackson Hole symposium, an interest rate cut in September.
Asset Allocation and Strategy Update
The current asset allocation of my portfolio is:
- 34% Stocks
- 31% ETFs
- 12% Crypto
- 23% Cash
In August, I closed a position on Zoom (ZM) in profit.
I have not sold any of my positions during the market crash, I have bought more and by doing so, the risk score of my portfolio has gone up by 1 point, reaching level 7.
As you know, one of my goals is to keep the risk score to max level 6 and I will make sure to return to that level in the short term.
September is historically a negative month for the stock market, but this year could be different because the Federal Reserve could start cutting the interest rate in the US.
I will continue, however, to monitor the financial markets daily and implement my strategies for the long term.
Recommendations
These are my recommendations for copiers and anyone who wants to invest in my portfolio:
- Invest more than 2,000 USD
- Keep the copy open for long-term
If you have less than 2,000 USD, you can start with a lower amount now and add more later.
Now is still a good time to start investing in my portfolio if you are new, or you can add more funds to your copy if you are already a copier.
Goals
My 2024 goals are:
- Outperform the S&P 500
- Keeping the risk score to medium
- To become a Champion Popular Investor
